What to Expect
The first appointment takes place with the young person and parents or guardians. This will allow the parents/guardians to discuss their concerns. We will discuss the young person’s early developmental milestones and current issues.
If all parties agree that Art Psychotherapy is a suitable therapeutic intervention, parents will be asked to complete a consent form.
Over 16s are required to provide consent.
We will schedule three initial sessions for assessment to measure engagement in therapy. Please allow one hour for the initial meeting of parents and therapist.
Three subsequent assessment session will be followed by review and feedback with parents/guardians. All therapy session are 50 minutes.
Parents are required to stay in the waiting area during therapy sessions.
Cancellation Policy
When we arrange appointments, we work with our clients to offer a day and time that suits them best and then set aside this time into our weekly schedule.
However, if for any reason a session is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment or you do not show, the full session fee will apply.
In the event of an emergency or serious illness each case will be assessed on an individual basis.
